Massage Therapy

Here at Vitality Aesthetics, we care about each patient as a whole, as we strive to offer any outlet that we can for your body to achieve wellness. That’s why we offer Massage Therapy, a service that not only relaxes and pampers your body, but a service that can be used as a treatment to help with soreness, tightness, headaches, and even anxiety.

The muscles in your body are major components when it comes to how comfortably you live your life, affecting the way you feel physically and mentally. The muscles in your body can have an impact on how well you sleep at night, how much energy you have during the day, how often you get headaches, and even affects levels of anxiety and feelings of depression. Massage therapy is a treatment designed to not only relax your body, but to help with issues like these, along with chronic pain, soreness, stiffness, muscle knots, anxiety, lack of energy, sleeplessness, and so much more.

Vitality Aesthetics offers individualized massages based on your needs and wants. Our licensed massage therapists work with you to identify if any areas are particularly bothering you, or if you just want to relax. Then, they put together a treatment plan that is customized to you. We offer full body massages, specific problem area massages, or a combination of both depending on what you and your body needs. We will focus on one to two areas on your body, that way we can effectively reach deep muscles and tissues, releasing any tension, stiffness, or knots, leaving your body feeling rejuvenated afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during my first massage therapy appointment?

When you arrive for your first visit at Vitality Aesthetics, one of our certified massage therapist will prompt you to fill out a health history form. After you complete it, the therapist will ask you some questions about how to best help you and your body, asking questions like if you have any problem areas that you want worked on, if you have an injury, or if you are seeking a massage for other health purposes. This process helps customize a treatment plan that will fit you best.

Where will my massage session take place?

Your massage will take place here at our office, in a quiet, comfortable room designed for your relaxation.

What do I wear during the massage?

Depending on the nature of your massage, you may or may not need to undress. If you are getting a full body massage, generally you will undress completely, with the option of keeping your underwear on. Your massage therapist will step out and allow you to undress, then you will be covered with a sheet or blanket at all times except the area being worked on.

Will the massage oils used make me break-out?

Please let us know if you have any sensitivities towards certain ingrediants, lotions, or oils. Generally, we will use hypoallergenic lotions and oils to try and avoid any irritation. If your skin is feeling bothered by the lotions or oils that we use, please let us know and we will switch.

How long will a massage treatment last?

Our massages generally last one hour; this way, we have enough time to focus on those target areas and leave you feeling fully relaxed and rejuvenated. When you schedule your appointment, we will let you know how much time to set aside so that you have enough time to prepare before the massage and relax afterwards.

How will I feel after the massage therapy treatment?

The goal is to make you feel relaxed. You may feel an instant feeling of relief from areas that have been tight, achy, and painful, and walk out feeling refreshed and recharged. Sometimes, people report soreness the following 1-2 days afterwards, which is a common side effect of deep tissue massages. Your massage therapist will give you a treatment plan afterwards, which includes drinking plenty of water and sometimes taking an Epsom salt bath to further eliminate all the toxins that have been broken up during your massage.
